2 Lane Travel Video – Bruce Thompson at a Closed Gas Station Due to the Broken Labor Force

Bruce Thompson at a Closed Gas Station Due to the Broken Labor Force

The Georgia Department of Labor has been too slow in its response to the current issues they are facing. This morning Bruce and his team went to grab some breakfast in Vidalia, GA at the Huddle House.

The owner Scooter met us at the door to welcome us and we were told a sad story. Scooter lives an hour and a half away and because one of his employees was unable to make it to work, Scooter had to drive an hour and a half just to come and open his store. As we continued to talk to Scooter, he said “I just cannot get people to come back and work. It’s crazy. I am paying to compete with a state that’s giving out checks. Until you sign the back of a check and put money in to be able to fund your business, you fundamentally do not understand how hard it is to be an entrepreneur”.

Behind us, in this video, we have yet another victim to the Department of Labor. This gas station also couldn’t get employees to come into work and as a result, had to shut down. It’s time to get back to work, time to fight for the people, and time for a change. Bruce is a businessman and Georgia needs a businessman working for them as labor commissioner because he understands.
