2 Lane Travel with Bruce Thompson in Georgia
As you know, we have been blazing the roads of Georgia while on our #2lanetravel campaign trail over the past 4 months! We have built incredible momentum from our endorsements of elected officials, sheriffs, and the great grassroots of Georgia supporting our campaign for Labor Commissioner.
I have shared previously how much fun we are having traveling the state speaking and “breaking bread” with folks. On Friday morning, we met with our friend and honorable Chase Daughtrey who took a break from the bench to host a Community Leaders luncheon in Adel and more!
This past week, I had the opportunity to spend the morning with Tommy at his barber shop near the OK Cafe on West Paces Ferry Road. If the walls could talk, I am sure they would affirm the stories Tommy tells about all the famous visitors that have visited over the past 60+ years. Read this story and more!
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution released an article Wednesday morning regarding the recent findings in the Department of Labor. Over $1.1 Million was spent on free meals for employees during the pandemic. This is absolutely unacceptable as over thousands of Georgians lost their jobs and were denied unemployment. My comments in the article state, “If Commissioner Butler thinks is ok, therein lies the problem. If you knew it was not ok and you did it anyway, that’s a problem with your integrity.”
As we are #blazingthetrail, our campaign continues to build the momentum it needs to fight for the people of Georgia but time is of the essence!
We NEED your help!!! We are working toward hitting our goal of $25K by October 15th! Please consider chipping in any amount – $10, $50, $75 – to help us reach our goal. You can help us by donating below!
It continues to amaze me how many 10s of thousands of people remain energized to protect the freedoms of our country with the current administration pushing abortion on demand and trying to restrict our second amendment rights to bare arms. I believe we will see crowds like this continue to grow until this government focuses on their people instead of their agendas. Read this and more about our Georgia Travels and Events.
It is no secret that our State is currently struggling from the National Labor Shortage. We see signs posted on business billboards, front doors, and even hear from our hosts prior to being seated at restaurants that they are understaffed. Our businesses are suffering! This is another reason why I am running for Georgia Labor Commissioner.
Help me get Georgia #back2work and fix this broken agency.
We are humbled by the outpouring of people willing to volunteer for our campaign, but we still have room for YOU to join our efforts to become the next Labor Commissioner. As the campaign kicks into high gear, Hannah has already placed many of you in roles that are suitable. We realize your time is valuable and we are grateful for your investment.
As we travel the state speaking at various GOP monthly gatherings, we are thrilled to see the large crowds showing up at each event. The Walton County Republican Party was certainly no exception with the VFW building being filled to capacity for several hours. This community is certainly enslaved and committed to seeing Georgia return to 100% Red!!
