Press Release – This Election is Critical

This Election is Critical

Friend,

It’s Halloween, and I can’t think of anything scarier than a blue Georgia with a unionized workforce. This is the future that Stacey Abrams and my opponent want for you and your family. That’s why this Labor Commissioner race is so important and why our team has driven over 190,000 miles across our state the past 16 months.

Stacey and her machine want you to believe that handouts and entitlement will lead us to success. As a business owner and experienced legislator, I know that’s a bald-faced lie. Georgia is the number one state to do business in, and we didn’t get that way with Democratic leadership.

Election Day is EIGHT DAYS away. Invest in our campaign today to keep Georgia’s reputation for business in place.

The Democrats have no plan for success, so they rely on millionaires outside of Georgia to fund their campaigns and California celebrities to raise their social status. I’m not interested in either of those things. The trust and support of real Georgia families are all we need to win this fight and keep Georgia on the right track.

Democratic leadership is spooky. With your donation of $500, $250, $100, or any amount you can give, we will keep Stacey and her machine from ruining our state.

For Georgia,

Bruce Thompson

ABOUT BRUCE

Bruce Thompson has served in the Georgia State Senate since 2013, representing Bartow, Cherokee, and parts of Cobb County. Over the past 7 years in the Senate, he has served as the Chairman of Science and Technology, Veterans, Military, and Homeland Security, and currently chairs Economic Development and Tourism.

It has often been said that Bruce Thompson is not afraid of rolling up his sleeves and getting dirty. Whether on a jobsite or just volunteering, he is not afraid of work especially if it involves helping others. His “get it done” spirit, rooted in his childhood from Montana growing up on a farm, life was anything but easy. After attending college on a wrestling scholarship, Bruce went on to service four years in the United States Military as a Tank Commander.

Since his time serving in the military, Bruce has been referred to as a serial entrepreneur because of the variety of businesses he has successfully launched or turned around.

He initiated his first venture when he was 10 years old by selling fresh milk from the farm to local school bus drivers. When he turned 22, he launched The Thompson Group in South Florida to provide tenant improvements to 11 shopping centers.

Since then, Bruce has successfully started 2 automatic swimming pool cover businesses that grew to become the largest in the Southeast prior to being acquired in 2018. In 2007, he formed The Thompson Insurance Group from scratch, and over the next 9 years grew it to 6 offices and over 10 million in premiums.

Bruce lives in Cartersville, Georgia with his wife Rebecca (Becky), daughter Faith and son Maxwell. Although credited with many business and political accolades over the years, Bruce’s biggest accomplishments are raising his two children alongside his wife of 24 years, Becky.
