Bruce and his team’s day started early heading to the capitol where they qualified to be a candidate for the next Georgia Labor Commissioner! There were a number of candidates waiting to qualify and have the privilege to serve the state of Georgia. By the number of people in attendance, it was clear that we are not the only ones who feel that this agency is broken and needs to be fixed.
Bruce attended the Valentine’s banquet in Fannin County last night and is enjoying breakfast at Waffle House this morning. He is loving spending time in the northern part of Georgia where people love their land, love their guns, love their freedom, and most of all love their community!
The Fayette County GOP is all set up and getting ready for the next election. Bruce had the privilege of speaking at the GOP meeting. Last night Bruce and his team had dinner with the Georgia Federation of Republican Women. They were a fantastic energized group that was ready to take on 2022.
Bruce started this week’s #2lanetravel traveling to Cherokee County. His team attended a dinner hosted by the Republican woman where they had a forum and interviewed candidates for the Department of Labor.
Bruce continues his #2lanetravel having a busy week at the capitol with March for Life and appropriations week. He also had the pleasure of meeting a couple that had moved to Georgia from California. Many of the people who move there from California are conservatives who are trying to get away from what’s happening in the radical states.
Although Georgia is currently ranked the #1 state for business, they are still facing some issues. Bruce Thompson believes that one of the biggest issues Georgia is facing is the Department of Labor.
Bruce visits the Georgia Capitol carrying some of the bills he plans to carry this year. These bills range from the APR bill to a bill that allows probate judges discretionary ability. Currently in the state of Georgia if you fail to appear in court it is mandatory that you be arrested for that even if you were unable to attend due to COVID-19.
During Bruce’s #2lanetravel he was wanting to stop into Jimmy Johns to grab a sandwich. He was so to see that they were closed inside and that only the drive-thru was open. As he looked inside the Jimmy Johns he noticed that there was only one person inside working hard to take the orders, take the money, and make the food all by himself.
Bruce Thompson continues his #2lane travel and is currently headed to Demorest, GA to speak at the Habersham GOP meeting and to connect with the locals. He believes even if you’re down in life you can rise to the top. As he travels across the state of Georgia, no matter how tired or weary he gets, he is continually fighting for the people of Georgia.
Bruce continues his #2lanetravel experience. Starting this week off with a GOP event, then a fundraiser, and continued to Thomasville to visit the Georgia Department of Labor Building. When they got to the Georgia Department of Labor Building a note was posted on the door that stated through the guidance of the governor they are teleworking and no in-person meetings would be taking place.
