Bruce and his team are in Crawford County attending the Annual Chamber Dinner. We are so thrilled to be down here with everyone, meeting new people. That is the best part of this #2lanetravel experience – getting to meet new people all over the Great State of Georgia! This morning was very busy during EV Day, where electric vehicles of all types were on the campus at the Georgia Capitol.

It’s a Sunday afternoon and we are expecting hundreds of people to come out to the annual Colquitt county picnic in Moultrie. Earlier this week we were at the Capitol for Crossover Day where we saw bills crossing over from each chamber. These bills need to make it across if they have a chance of being passed.

The Georgia Department of Labor has been too slow in its response to the current issues they are facing. This morning Bruce and his team went to grab some breakfast in Vidalia, GA at the Huddle House. The owner Scooter met us at the door to welcome us and we were told a sad story.

Bruce and his team have finally made it to the Rattlesnake Roundup in Georgia. You can see the rattlesnakes are moving pretty slow due to the cold, a lot like the Georgia Department of Labor. Whether you are the current commissioner or deputy commissioner, either way, the response from them has been as slow as these rattlesnakes. Agencies are still closed and that should not be the case. Bruce is determined to fix these issues as your next labor commissioner.

Bruce and his team continue their #2lanetravel heading to the Rattlesnake Roundup. On the way, they wanted to stop at a Waffle House to grab some food – sadly they were takeout only. So many businesses like this Waffle House are takeout only due to the current workforce shortage Georgia is facing. It is insane how many people don’t want to work right now all over the state.

Bruce and his team headed to Griffen, GA during this #2lanetravel to celebrate Earl Shiver’s birthday at the Bailey Tebault House. Everyone that is a part of the GOP is here to celebrate with us because they understand how important Earl is to the Republican Party.

It’s a late-night drive for Bruce Thompson heading back from Crawford County Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner. It is an amazing community and even more amazing how the community comes together. Georgia is all about coming together. Everywhere we have traveled to is supportive of the same thing – getting the people of Georgia back to work. Businesses are suffering and it’s affecting the people in the community. Bruce is determined to get people back to work as your next labor commissioner.

It is early morning here in Franklin Springs, GA at the John W. Swails Center. A large event is occurring where all candidates are working hard to make it onto the stage.

It’s day #14 for Bruce and his team on this #2lanetravel and it’s been a long day as you can tell by the lack of sunlight. Today they had some bills that were in public safety. They are trying to work on suspended licenses and working to get some of those reinstated. The Georgia labor force needs all the help they can get and people are unable to assist in the workforce due to a suspended license.
